Nathan F. Mangel
Subjects taught/ Position: I teach Special Education with an emphasis on ELA.
Classroom expectations: I expect our classroom to be a fun and exciting environment for
everyone involved (students, teacher/para educator, and any guests)! I look for my students to
come to school on time, ready to work, and with an open mind. Respect for yourself and others
is paramount in our classroom also. With a little hard work, all of our students should be able
to enter the adult world ready to contribute to the community.
Short Bio: I worked for a long time in the home improvement industry as a sales associate and
a manager. After that I decided to go back to school, and while I was at CSUF I worked in the
service industry. I graduated from CSUF and then moved on to CSULB to receive my Special
Education Credential: I spent a year working in the Orange school district as a student teacher,
and then came to Torrance unified during the 2014/2015 school year.
